Hair growth and hair health is a hot topic right now. After giving birth to Phoenix my hair was just not the same. It was thinner than ever, was falling out and breaking and it was just not growing or healthy like it used to be. All I can say is THANK GOD for essential oils!

,
Whether you are looking to treat dry scalp & dandruff, strengthen you hair and give it shine, thicken your hair or lighten your hair naturally, essential oils can be just as effective and of course much safer than store bought and heavily marketed products.
I have also included a free download at the bottom of this article which includes a few recipes I have personally tried, using these oils. You are going to love me for it!
LAVENDER
Lavender oil can speed up hair growth. Knowing that lavender oil has properties that can generate the growth of cells and reduce stress, an animal study took place in 2016 where topical application of lavender oil proved to significantly increase the number of hair follicles in female mice. Lavender also has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, which can improve scalp health and is able to deepen the depth of hair follicles and thicken the thermal layer.
2. ROSEMARY
If you want to improve both hair thickness and hair growth, rosemary oil is your girl thanks to its ability to improve cellular generation. Research even shows that rosemary oil appears to work as well as minoxidil, a conventional topical hair loss treatment, but with less scalp itching as a side effect.
Rosemary Essential Oil is also great for preventing baldness, for dry scalp and slowing down the ‘graying’ process!
3. PEPPERMINT
Peppermint Essential Oil is cooling, stimulating and packs a punch when it comes to antiseptic properties. It is a wonderful oil for those who suffer from dandruff and is a handy oil to keep on hand if you have kids #headlice. Research shows that peppermint oil also promotes hair growth, increases dermal thickness, increases follicle number and follicle depth.
4. CEDARWOOD
Cedarwood Essential Oil stimulates hair follicles and increases circulation to the scalp. You need Cedarwood in your life if you have thinning hair or suffer from Alopecia as it will help promote hair growth and slow down hair loss.
5. THYME
If you have run out of Cedarwood then Thyme is a great alternative and has also been found to be helpful in treating alopecia areata.
6. CHAMOMILE
If you are after some shine, softness and lustre then Chamomile Essential Oil is your new best friend. It is also great for lightening your hair naturally.
7. CLARY SAGE
Clary sage can be used to help you balance hormones & relieve stress. What does this have to do with hair? Well a lot actually! High stress levels = Loss of hair including alopecia areata.
Because Clary Sage can be used to help relieve stress and reduce cortisol levels in the body, it works as a natural remedy for stress-induced hair loss.
